I am pleased to inform you that Kapaeeng Foundation and Association for Land Reform and Development (ALRD) are going to organize jointly a seminar titled as “Government Commitment to Implement the CHT Accord and Active Popular Support” to be held at the VIP Lounge of the National Press Club at 10.30 am on 31 March 2009.
Mr. Promode Mankin, honorable Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Parliament Standing Committee on Ministry of CHT Affairs will be present in the seminar as Guest of Honor. Mr. Mangal Kumar Chakma, Information and Publicity Secretary of PCJSS will present a paper as keynote speaker. Raja Devasish Roy, former Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor of the Caretaker Government, Mr. Pankaj Bhattacharjee, a senior politician, Mr. Jatindra Lal Tripura, honorable Member of Parliament from Khagrachari, Dr. Abul Barakat, Professor and Chairman of Department of Economics of Dhaka University, Barrister Sara Hossain, Advocate, Bangladesh Supreme Court and Human Rights Activist will take part as panel discussant and Rabindranath Soren, Chairperson of Kapaeeng Foundation will deliver the welcome address.
The seminar will be chaired by Mr. Shamsul Huda, Executive Director, ALRD.
